Jury Finds Man Guilty Of Murder In Shooting Of Baltimore Police Officer Keona Holley
One of the suspects accused of killing Baltimore Police Officer Keona Holley in December 2021 has been found guilty of first-degree murder, bringing what officers are hoping is a “sense of closure and peace” to her loved ones. The devoted officer and mother of four was fatally shot on Dec. 16, 2021 during a line-of-duty ambush and taken off life support a week later. Elliott Knox, 34, who was charged alongside Trevon Shaw with her murder and the separate homicide of 38-year-old Justin Johnson that occurred just hours later, was convicted Wednesday. Maryland AG Releases Report Into Fatal Officer-Involved Pursuit
The Maryland Attorney General’s Office released its investigative report into a fatal police-involved pursuit in Charles County earlier this year. Shortly after 4 a.m. on Friday, March 11, officers from the Charles County Sheriff's Office received a report of a hit-and-run crash in the 3900 block of Pine Cone Circle in Waldorf involving a driver later identified as Darrell Byrd, who was no longer at the scene. The Maryland Attorney General's Office has released its report on a deadly officer-involved barbershop shooting in Baltimore last year. Shortly after 3 p.m. on Nov. 13, 2021, off-duty Baltimore Police Sgt. David Burch was getting a haircut at Bladi Style Barbershop on O’Donnell Street when Carlos David Ortega walked in and pulled out a handgun from his waistband. The Baltimore City State's Attorney's Office has released a statement accusing prior prosecutors in the case against Adnan Syed of further traumatizing Syed and victim Hae Min Lee's family after case evidence was leaked. ATF Completes Investigation Into Incendiary Fire That Killed Three Baltimore Firefighters
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) has completed its investigation into a fire that killed three Baltimore City firefighters earlier this year. In January, Baltimore Fire Lt. Paul Butrim, Lt. Kelsey Sadler, and EMS Kenny Lacayo were killed in a fire in a vacant row home in the 200 block of South Stricker Street in a blaze that was deemed “incendiary” by officials. A former Baltimore City Assistant State's Attorney has been indicted on federal charges for unlawfully obtaining phone records, authorities announce. Adam Lane Chaudry, 43, has been charged with 10 counts of fraud in connection with obtaining confidential phone records after an indictment alleged that Chaudry committed the crime knowing that information may be used in the intent to commit stalking, according to the Department of Justice. Baltimore Murder Convict's Guilty Plea Gets Him Life Behind Bars
One of two man arrested in an East Baltimore homicide has been convicted of murder and sentence to life in prison, authorities said. Keith Gladden, 35, pleaded guilty to the first-degree murder of Dontrell Toliver in the McElderry Park neighborhood back in 2020 on Wednesday, March 16, the office said, according to a release from the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office.
