Safeway Robbed By Knife-Wielding Suspect In Frederick Still On The Loose: State Police A busy grocery store was robbed at knifepoint early on Friday morning in Frederick County, according to Maryland State Police. Officials say that shortly after 8. a.m. on Friday, March 31, troopers were called to the Safeway store in the 100 block of Walkers Village Way in Walkersville to investigate a robbery that had just taken place. The initial investigation found that an unknown robber walked into the store, went through a checkout aisle and implied that he had a knife to a cashier before taking money from the register and fleeing on foot.
