Trader Joe's is recalling Infinite Herbs-brand organic basil that was sold across the country in 2.5-ounce clamshell packaging due to concerns of Salmonella contamination. 'Armed, Dangerous' Murder Suspect Wanted In Kentucky Apprehended By Maryland State Police
A man considered armed and dangerous who was wanted for murder in Kentucky has been taken into custody in Maryland after his BMW was spotted outside a Howard County motel, state police announced. Louisville resident Tho Luong, 41, who was on the run after a woman was found dead on Tuesday in Kentucky, has been arrested and is waiting to be extradited back to face the charges. Cantaloupes Shipped To DMV Region Being Recalled For Salmonella Concerns
Thousands of cases of whole cantaloupes - many of which were shipped to the DMV region - are subject to a new recall, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced. Arizona-based Eagle Produce is voluntarily recalling 6,456 cases of cantaloupe that may be contaminated with Salmonella following a test at an FDA distribution center. Specifically, the recall includes Kandy whole cantaloupes with the UPC number code of 4050 on the package and lot codes of: 797901; 797900; 804918. Still lovin' it? More than 300 children were found working at McDonald's restaurants across the U.S., some in Maryland, according to the US Labor Department. The children, under 16 years old, were discovered during an investigation into Bauer Food LLC, Archways Richwood LLC and Bell Restaurant Group I LLC – three separate franchisees that operate a total of 62 McDonald’s locations across Kentucky, Indiana, Maryland and Ohio. Hundreds of thousands of Honda SUVs are being recalled due to concerns that road salt could cause the frame of the vehicle to rust and unintentionally detach parts of the rear suspension. Maryland AG Reaches Massive Settlement with Google Over Location Tracking Practices
Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh has announced that his Consumer Protection Division as well as 39 other attorneys general have reached a $391.5 million multi-state settlement with Google over its location tracking practices relating to Google Account settings. The Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Securities Division is the latest to file a cease and desist order against a cryptocurrency account provider who allegedly violated state law. Nexo Group and its co-founder Antoni Trenchev violated the law “with the offer and sale of Nexo’s Earn Interest Product (EIP) accounts," Attorney General Brian Frosh and Attorneys General from seven other states said.
