Support Swells For Grandmother Who Lost Everything In Two-Alarm Maryland Townhouse Fire Friends and family of a church-going woman and her 20-year-old grandchild are rallying the community after the two lost everything in the Joppatowne townhouse fire earlier this month. On Monday, Feb. 5, a two-alarm fire broke out in the 600 block of Shore Drive in Harford County displacing a family and damaging two other neighboring homes.  All residents were able to escape safely, though several pets perished, and while uninjured, Shelbie LeBeau and her 20-year-old grandchild lost their home and all of their belongings, according to a friend who is rallying support from the community.…

Murder-Suicide Victims Mourned In Harford County Support was mounting for three family members killed in a quadruple murder-suicide last weekend in Harford County. Sherlyn Ann Pitts, 65; her niece, Sheena Yvonne Smothers, 38; and Sheena's 17-year-old son, Jaylin, died on Saturday, Aug. 26 in Joppatowne.  Police say 34-year-old Devin Brown shot them on Trimble Road, then turned the gun on himself. Sherlyn was his mother. Police ID Family Killed In Quadruple Maryland Murder-Suicide An apparent murder-suicide is under investigation in Maryland after four people were found dead over the weekend.
