A 42-year-old US Capitol Police officer from Maryland was arrested after being found in possession of child porn, authorities said. Jared Michael Lemon, 42, of Owings, became the center of an investigation in December 2022, when troopers from the Maryland State Police Prince Frederick Barrack opened an investigation into the possession of child pornography, Maryland State Police said. Investigators from the US Army gave Maryland State Police a hand to apprehend a 55-year-old predator who targeted teens online, according to authorities. Walkersville resident Michael Vance Culpepper, 55, was arrested on Monday, May 8, after he agreed to meet with undercover officers posing as a 13-year-old girl with nefarious intentions. A months-long investigation into child pornography being distributed on the Internet by the Maryland State Police Department led to a dozen charges for a Harford County man, authorities announced.
