Man Busted With Faux Oxy Manufactured With Fentanyl In Maryland Gets Prison Without Parole
A Maryland man will spend years behind bars without the possibility of parole following his sentencing for possession of fentanyl in large quantities, officials announced. Owings resident Harold Bernard Gross pleaded guilty in Calvert County Circuit Court to possession of fentanyl in large volume and received a mandatory prison sentence of five years, according to the sheriff’s office. Convicted Murderer Loses Bid To Reduce Life Sentence In Maryland, State's Attorney Says
A man convicted of a grisly murder in Maryland more than two decades ago will stay behind bars after losing his bid to have his sentence reduced. Ancil Tony Hamrick, who was convicted in 2001 of a “brutal Calvert County murder” was convicted by a jury for the murder of Darlene Turney after allegedly breaking in, and attempting to strangle her before stabbing her to death with a knife. Maryland Drug Dealer Sentenced For Violating Probation, Crack Cocaine Possession
A Maryland man will spend years behind bars after being busted with crack cocaine by police investigating a separate incident, the Calvert County State’s Attorney announced. Prince George’s County County resident Steven Terrell Wheeler, 27, of Beltsville, was sentenced on Monday, Sept. 26 in Calvert County Circuit Court to 12 years in prison for intent to distribute cocaine, officials said, with an additional seven years for violating his probation from a 2020 assault case. A 37-year-old man will spend more than a decade in prison and must register as a sex offender for life in Maryland for sexually abusing a family member in Calvert County, the state's attorney announced. A Maryland man is facing life in prison after admitting to killing a woman in cold blood over a financial dispute in January, the state’s attorney’s office announced. Lusby resident Travis Benjamin Ridgely, 34, pleaded guilty on Monday, July 11, to first-degree premeditated murder in Calvert County Circuit Court for his role in the death of Selena Noel Persinger.
