Teen's Spirit 'Here Every Step Of The Way' After Being Killed In DC Metro Station, Family Says Thousands of dollars have been raised by the community on behalf of the family of a 14-year-old who was shot and killed in a Metro station in Northeast DC last week. Avion Evans was identified by the Metropolitan Police Department as the teenager who was killed when a fight broke out on the platform of the Brookland-Catholic University Metro Station in the 800 block Monroe Street NE.  The shooting was reported shortly before 4 p.m. on April 4.
