Blade Seized From 9-Year-Old Who Threatened Classmate At Waldorf Elementary School: Sheriff
A potentially tragic situation at a Charles County elementary school was avoided when administrators were able to take a blade from a child who had threatened to harm a fellow student. On Tuesday, Feb. 28, students at Diggs Elementary School in Waldorf notified school staff members that a 9-year-old student was in possession of a knife after making threats toward another member of his class. A pre-nursing major and 25-year-old male were identified as the two people killed at party that left five others wounded near Old Dominion in Virginia on Labor Day Weekend, various news reports say. Maryland Teen Charged With Making Threats Of Mass Violence Against Middle School
A young teenage girl has been charged after making threats of mass violence against Takoma Park Middle School, authorities say. The 13-year-old allegedly left a voicemail to the school threatening a shooting shortly after 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, according to the Takoma Park Police Department. The middle school was placed under lockdown as a precaution as summer school had been in session.
