Piney Point resident William Michael McFann was pronounced dead in the 19900 block of Poplar Hill Creek Lane in Leonardtown early on Saturday, Sept. 16, according to officials. investigators say that McFann had placed a fireworks mortar tube on his upper chest and attempted to ignite it.
