One person was struck and killed by a train early on Wednesday afternoon in Prince George's County, according to officials. An alert was issued by a Prince George's County Fire and EMS spokesperson advising that at approximately 1:35 p.m. on May 15, a person was struck by a train. They were pronounced dead at the scene. Some commuters in DC are up in arms as the WMATA closes down certain Red Line trains to allow for necessary repairs during the holiday season.
