Traffic on the Capital Beltway is what police said ultimately helped them capture four people who stole $4,500 in designer bags from Tysons Corner. Around 5:05 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5, detectives got an alert from loss prevention saying a retail theft crew grabbed more than a dozen designer handbags, totaling over $4,500 in value, and ran from the store, Fairfax County police said. Firefighters Close Portion of I-495 After Tractor-Trailer Catches Fire
Firefighters closed a portion of Interstate 495 just before rush hour on Wednesday, July 6, after a tractor-trailer burst into flames in Fairfax County, authorities said. Fairfax County firefighters responded to the fire in the southbound lane of the interstate just before 5 p.m. near the exit for Arlington Boulevard (Route 50), the Virginia Department of Transportation tweeted.
