Harrowing video from a fatal crash scene has been released by the Maryland Attorney General's Office as it continues an investigation into the death of a 25-year-old woman. Last month, Adelphi native Jasmin Gimon was killed in a rollover crash by a driver attempting to evade a traffic stop in Montgomery County, leaving her family "shattered with a hole that can never be filled." The Maryland Attorney General has released body-cam footage of a fatal police-involved shooting last month while officers were conducting a welfare check on a 75-year-old man at his Riverdale Park home. Bryan Coupal was shot and killed by officers from the Riverdale Park Police Department at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 19 in the 4700 block of Oglethorpe Street when he defied orders from investigators and shot a gun at them, prompting them to return fire. The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Office of the Attorney General has released new body-cam footage from a fatal police-involved shooting in Harwood last month. On Wednesday, Sept. 17, Harwood resident Anthony Hopkins, Sr. was shot and killed by police investigating a violent domestic incident after he allegedly fired gunshots at a cop car and point his guns at officers, who returned fire. An officer shot and killed one of three suspects that were fleeing the scene of a shooting, officials said. At around 4 p.m. on July 31, law enforcement arrived at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Longfellow Street, where they found two men suffering apparent gunshot wounds, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Body-cam footage has been released as a part of an ongoing investigation into a DC officer's use of force. On June 29, an officer, who had just witnessed what looked like a drug transaction, chased after a man on foot and struggled with him to the ground, according to Metropolitan Police.
