An alert has been issued by the Charles County Sheriff's Office as they attempt to locate a 24-year-old fugitive who is wanted for sexual child abuse.
Katravien Tyrieus Vercher, who was recently indicted on charges that include sex abuse of a minor, third-degree sex offense, and other related offenses is at large, and the sheriff's office is attempting to track him down.
The Waldorf native is known to frequent Oxon Hill, and areas in Washington, DC, investigators say, and he was described as being 5-foot-9, weighing 185 pounds.
Anyone with information regarding Vercher's whereabouts has been asked to contact PFC Rickard at the sheriff's office by calling (301) 609-3282 ext. 0660.
