Motorcyclist Killed After Going Off Road, Striking Telephone Pole, Maryland State Police Say
A 50-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a single-vehicle overnight in Harford County, according to Maryland State Police. Shortly after 10:30 p.m. on May 12, Maryland State Police troopers were called to the 2600 block of Whiteford Road, where it was determined Fawn Grove, Pennsylvania resident Jason Birley was riding a Honda motorcycle when he went off the roadway and struck a telephone pole. Pet owners and area residents in Harford County are being advised to be aware that a cat in the area tested positive for rabies and may have exposed certain parties to the virus. The Harford County Department of Health issued an alert on Thursday cautioning that state health officials confirmed that a cat found in the Dublin area of Harford County has tested positive for rabies. A teenager was airlifted to an area hospital after a midday crash in Harford County over the weekend, according to Maryland State Police. Shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, troopers were called to a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Whiteford Road and Route 646 in Harford County that left several people with undisclosed injuries.
