Dozens of vehicles suffered extensive damage on Monday morning when a fire rapidly spread to multiple cars at an auto auction dealer overnight. A fire was reported shortly before 4 a.m. on Monday, April 17 in the 100 block of Zeitler Road in Elkton, which promptly spread to at least 40 vehicles, all of which suffered varying degrees of damage across the lot. It took a team of 40 freighters from the Singerly Fire Company and nearby agencies approximately an hour to get the flames under control, but not before it caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to the vehicles. Nearly a million dollars worth of damage was caused in Cecil County when a multi-vehicle car carrier caught fire, destroying multiple vehicles in Elkton on Monday morning. At approximately 7:50 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, a team of more than two dozen firefighters from the Singerly Fire Company were called to the 1400 block of Elkton Road, where there was a report of a 2012 Freightliner multi-vehicle car carrier that went up in flames, according to the Maryland Fire Marshal. Reckless Endangerment Incident Under Investigation Following Midday Maryland Shooting
A midday weekend shooting is under investigation in Maryland after a vehicle was struck several times, officials said. In Lexington Park, deputies from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office responded shortly before 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9, to reports of shots fired in the 4600 block of Midway Drive. Upon arrival, investigators said that they located multiple shell casings and a vehicle that had sustained damage from projectiles.
