It was a busy weekend for Maryland State Police Aviation Command crews. A pair of mountain bikers had to be rescued and airlifted to area hospitals after finding themselves in perilous positions during separate incidents Howard County and West Virginia that required state police intervention. A Maryland State Police helicopter swooped in to make the dramatic save of a person in West Virginia who has been missing for days and was in a perilous position. For the second time in a week, the Maryland State Police Department was called in to make a bold air rescue of a man who found himself in a perilous position while in the forests of West Virginia.
