A 77-year-old woman from Montgomery County was killed and a man taken to the hospital following a two-car crash Monday afternoon, March 11, police said. It happened at the intersection of Layhill Road and Bel Pre Road shortly before 2:35 p.m. Maria Perdomo, of Silver Spring, was making a left turn from northbound Layhill Road onto westbound Bel Pre Road in a red 2013 Subaru Outback when she collided with a black 2019 Tesla Model Y that was heading southbound on Layhill Road. Police have identified the Pennsylvania driver who was killed in a crash with a Tesla early on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Anne Arundel County Police responded to Annapolis Road (Route 175) at Piedmont Lane in Hanover around 7:40 a.m. after a report of a multi-vehicle crash. According to police, Joseph Richard Muniz, 38, of York, was turning left in a 2015 Dodge Dart from eastbound Annapolis Road onto Piedmont Lane when it was struck by a 2020 Tesla Model X that was heading westbound on Annapolis Road.
