The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest in connection with the Northeast DC murder of a high school student. Akira Wilson, 18, was found dead of a gunshot wound inside a room in the Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/US Capitol on First Street around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, police said. Teen Charged With Murder In 15-Year-Old DC Boy's Shooting Death
A teen suspect was arrested Friday, Nov. 4 in the shooting death of a 15-year-old Northeast DC boy, authorities said. An unidentified 15-year-old boy was charged with first-degree murder while armed in the Oct. 13 homicide of Andre Robertson Jr., according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Police Identify Alexandria Teen Killed In D.C. Shooting
Police have identified a teen who was killed in a Northeast D.C. homicide on Saturday, July 9, officials said. Damari Wright, 17, of Alexandria was found inside a vehicle at around 5:30 p.m. at the 3500 block of Hayes Street, the Metropolitan Police Department said. He had suffered apparent gunshot wounds, but showed no signs of life, officials said. The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a $25,000 reward for anyone with information that would lead to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099.

Terrifying Armed Robbery Spree Targets Mailmen Across DC, Maryland
Six United States Postal Service mail carries were robbed at gunpoint and assaulted in the spans of two days across Washington DC and Maryland, officials said. The suspects made off with "a wide variety of items that the postal service provides their carriers to do their jobs on a daily basis" along with personal property, according to USPIS spokesman Michael Martel. A motorcyclist being chased by police officers crashed on a Northeast D.C. street, reports NBC Washington. The early morning chase led to the motorcyclist hitting a pole at Benning Road and Oklahoma Avenue NE shortly before 3 a.m., reports the outlet. Arrest Made In Deadly Stabbing Of Woman Outside DC Restaurant
A suspect has been arrested in connection to the deadly stabbing of a woman last month while standing outside of a carryout restaurant in DC. Ebony Morgan, 42, was chatting with friends outside of Full Yum Carry Out in the Northeast section of the city when Cana Browne, 25, stabbed her on May 10, 2022, according to Metropolitan Police and NBC4.
