On Monday, Feb. 5, a two-alarm fire broke out in the 600 block of Shore Drive in Harford County displacing a family and damaging two other neighboring homes.  All residents were able to escape safely, though several pets perished, and while uninjured, Shelbie LeBeau and her 20-year-old grandchild lost their home and all of their belongings, according to a friend who is rallying support from the community. …

Sherlyn Ann Pitts, 65; her niece, Sheena Yvonne Smothers, 38; and Sheena's 17-year-old son, Jaylin, died on Saturday, Aug. 26 in Joppatowne.  Police say 34-year-old Devin Brown shot them on Trimble Road, then turned the gun on himself.
