Woman Killed In Single-Vehicle Crash On I-97 In Anne Arundel County: State Police
A 29-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash overnight in Anne Arundel County, according to Maryland State Police. Annapolis resident Shannon Rita Alan was identified by investigators as the driver who crashed shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 in the southbound lanes of I-97 near Route 50. According to a preliminary investigation, Alan was traveling on a ramp to Route 50 East and for unknown reasons left the road and struck an embankment. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Multi-Vehicle Maryland Crash Leads To 11 Hospitalizations: Officials
Eleven people were taken to Maryland hospitals after a massive crash on I-495 in Prince George’s County, officials said. Shortly after 8:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, first responders were dispatched to the outer loop of the interstate near Route 50, where there was a report of a multi-vehicle crash. Doggone Good Rescue: Paramedics Come To Aid Of Puppy Stuck In Prince George's Fence
A paramedic crew took a chance on a new kind of patient after noticing a runaway in Capitol Heights, authorities say. The crew was traveling along Route 50 when they noticed the puppy running on the roadway Thursday, July 21, according to Prince George's County EMS. The paramedics immediately stopped the ambulance to attempt to bring the dog to safety, catching her after she managed to become trapped under a fence.
