Tractor-Trailers Torched During Two-Alarm Blaze Outside Maryland Business: Fire Marshal
It took first responders more than an hour to knock down the flames that left five tractor-trailers in Maryland torched by a two-alarm blaze that broke out in one of the trucks. Fire crews were called to a Talbot County business park in the 29000 block of Air Park Drive in Easton on Friday afternoon, where an employee at T and T Trucking reported seeing smoke and flames inside one of the vehicles. A 32-year-old man was killed and two others injured in a three-car crash last weekend in Talbot County. David Kuzio, of Preston, was heading east in a Volvo on Dover Road in Easton when he crossed the center line and hit a Chevrolet Silverado head-on Friday evening, Feb. 2, Maryland State Police said. The impact caused the Silverado to hit a Chevrolet Malibu, driven by a 24-year-old woman, police said. An elderly pair from Maryland was killed in a crash Tuesday evening, June 13 in Highland Park, authorities said. A Mercedes driven by Abeer Viriani, 34, of Iselin, struck a Subaru occupied by Peter Palmer, 75, of Easton, MD, and Carol Paul, 77, of Easton, MD, around 5:30 p.m. at Route 27 and North 10 Street, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said. The mother of a 19-year-old Towson University student who was killed in a Baltimore County crash said her organs will save the lives of others. Catherine Pratt, of Easton, was heading north on Greenspring Avenue in Reisterstown when her Kia Sorrento veered off the road and struck a fence before coming to rest in a field on July 31, county police said.
