Here's What We Know About Maryland Fire That Killed Beloved Couple The Frederick County Sheriff's Office has identified the two residents who died in an early morning Adamstown house fire on Sunday morning. Thomas Wiles, 74, and Joy Wiles, 75, were killed when a fire broke out shortly after 2 a.m. on Sunday to the 6800 block of Stonewall Court in Adamstown, after being trapped in the upper floor of the home, officials confirmed. Crews jumped into action and retrieved two from the house who were taken to the hospital by paramedics in cardiac arrest and later were pronounced dead.
