Maryland Native Killed In Head-On Crash Into Tractor-Trailer, PA Police A 69-year-old grandpa died at the scene of a head-on crash on Monday, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Aug. 24, 2023. Ernest Bowens of Shippensburg was driving a 2012 Nissan Pathfinder south on the 9000 block of Olde Scotland Road in Southampton Township when he crossed over the double yellow line for an unknown reason, state police explained in a release.  He struck Binod Kuwar, 30, of Shippensburg 2009 Navistar at 7:40 p.m.— the force of the impact caused the Nissan to catch fire, troopers detailed.  Binod was taken to Chambersburg Hospital for a medical evaluation, and the roadway…

Friend Checking DUI Driver's Headlights Struck, Killed By Car On Interstate 97: Police A 33-year-old man who was helping DUI driver check her broken headlights on Interstate 97 was struck and killed by a car late Friday, March 4 in Anne Arundel County, State Police said. Victor Antonio Diaz Aguilera, 33, of Annapolis, pulled up in his own car near the Crownsville exit on the northbound side to help 40-year-old Maria Ines Cortes-Gutierrez, 40, of Glen Burnie, who was having problems with her car around 11:45 p.m.police said.
