Schools Locked Down In Baltimore County During Police Standoff (Developing) There will be an increased police presence in parts of Essex on Monday afternoon as officers deal with a reported barricade situation. The Baltimore County Police Department issued an alert shortly after 12:15 p.m. on Monday, June 5 after officers were called to the area of Thompson Boulevard for an investigation, residents have been advised.
