Maryland Jeep Driver Dies In Fauquier Crash: Police A Maryland man died in a head-on crash in Virginia, according to police. The crash happened on Jan. 21, at 6:51 p.m. along Route 17 north of Interstate 66 when a 2021 Jeep Wrangler traveling north on Route 17 crossed over and hit a 2017 Dodge Ram head-on, Virginia State Police said. The driver of the Jeep, Gilbert F. Dzakpasu, 43, of Germantown died at the scene of the crash as a result of his injuries The driver of the Dodge, a 22-year-old male, of Marshall, Va., suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
