Services Set for Teen Baseball Player Killed In Baltimore County Shooting

Services have been set for a 17-year-old boy shot and killed near a Baltimore County intersection earlier this week.

Elias Cieslak was found with a bullet wound to his chest at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, April 23 on Belair Road near the Rossville Boulevard intersection in Overlea.

More than $9,100 had been raised for the teen's family as of Friday, April 28 on a GoFundMe page.

A senior at Parkville High School, Elias was a left-handed pitcher and center fielder. According to his obituary, his enthusiasm for the game was "infectious, and he inspired his teammates with his dedication and love for the sport.

"He was an avid video gamer who spent countless hours honing his skills, and he took great pride in his collection of expensive tennis shoes. Elias was also a connoisseur of Seiko watches, appreciating their precision and timeless beauty."
