1 In Serious Condition, 1 Arrested In Afternoon Baltimore Shooting: Police

One man is in serious condition and another is charged for shooting him in an afternoon shooting in Baltimore, authorities said.

Devonta Cox, 30, has been arrested and charged with first degree attempted murder for shooting a 21-year-old man, Baltimore Police said.

Officers found the 21-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds while patrolling in the 1800 block of Eagle Street around 1:17 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, police said.

Cox was caught fleeing the scene with a handgun and was subsequently arrested, police said. He is being held without bail at Central Booking.

The victim remains in serious condition at an area hospital, police said.
