Minor Shot In Baltimore County During Midday Incident, Police Say

A minor was hospitalized on Monday afternoon after a reported shooting in Baltimore County, police say.

At approximately 3 p.m. on Monday, June 5, officers from the Baltimore County Police Department were called to the area of Dalton Road and Hillsway Avenue in Parkville, where there was a reported shooting. 

Upon arrival, officers say that they found a young boy suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation of the injury, officials said.

The gunshot is believed to be non-life-threatening.

As of 5:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon, there was still a heavy police presence in the area of the shooting.

The incident remains under investigation. No information about a shooter or possible motive has been released by the police.
