Fatal Shooting Lands 22-Year-Old Behind Bars For Murder In Baltimore Home: Police

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a late December shooting inside a Baltimore home that left a man dead, police say.

City resident Jerrod Smith is facing a murder charge following an altercation with 31-year-old Toby Rogers that resulted in his death in the 4300 block of Seminole Avenue on Saturday, Dec. 30.

According to a spokesperson from the Baltimore Police Department, at around 10:30 p.m. on the night of the shooting, officers were called to the home, where they found Rogers suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and a homicide investigation was launched that led them to Smith, officials announced on Monday morning.

Smith was arrested without incident and charged with second-degree murder. His bail was later set at $100,000. No information about his next court appearance was released.
