The busy bridge was shut down on Jan. 27 as first responders in Anne Arundel County worked to clear the scene and investigate what caused the crash, which sent several people to the hospital, according to reports.
All westbound lanes were shut down, leaving the roadway as a parking lot as of 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
The Maryland Transportation Authority posted on social media that eastbound and westbound traffic were alternating turns on the eastbound side of the bridge.
Anne Arundel County Police officials are cautioning that motorists can expect heavy delays in the area of Annapolis and Kent Island as they continue to sort through the mess.
No details about reopening the westbound lanes have been released by officials.
