Former MD Park Service Manager Guilty Of Sex Offense; Cleared Of Rape Charges
A split verdict was reached in the trial of a former manager for the Maryland Park Service who was accused of sexual abuse late last year. Michael Browning, 72, was found guilty of a single misdemeanor fourth-degree sex offense, though he was found not guilty of several other charges, including felony rape. Browning was arrested by detectives from the Baltimore County's Special Victims Unit in September last year, following allegations that he coerced women to have sex with him by offering them jobs at Gunpowder Falls State Park, where he was employed as the park manager at the time. …
