Maryland Firefighter Killed In Ocean City While Attending Firemen's Convention A volunteer firefighter in Maryland was killed in Ocean City while attending the annual Maryland State Fireman’s Association convention, officials confirmed. Elkton resident Noah Day, 22, a lieutenant with the North East Fire Company in Cecil County, was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the Coastal Highway on Monday, June 20.
