New details have been released by the Prince George's County Police Department after a 50-year-old man was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on New Year's Day. Tom Gregorio was struck at around 8:45 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 1 at the intersection of Landover Road and Neighbor Lane in Cheverly by an unknown driver who fled the scene after the fatal strike, police say. New details have been released as police continue to investigate a fatal crash that left four dead in Prince George's County. Lanham resident Marquay Swann, 14, was the driver of the Kia Sorento that went up in flames after a fatal pursuit that also took the lives of 15-year-old Zyshaun Cuffey, of Glenarden, and Upper Marlboro native Serenity Sellman, 15, the Medical Examiner's Office confirmed on Monday. A former Metropolitan Police Department officer has been sentenced to more than a year in jail after pleading guilty to two counts of vehicular manslaughter in connection to a 2021 crash that killed a couple in Anne Arundel County, the state’s attorney’s office announced. A Washington, DC man has been identified as the victim of a fatal crash in Oxon Hill, according to police. On Jan. 23, at around 12:45 a.m., 35-year-old Cornelius Brown crashed his vehicle at Glen Rock Avenue and Brinkley Road. He died at the scene, Prince George's County Police said. Investigators believe Brown was driving eastbound on Brinkley Road, approaching Glen Rock Avenue, when his car left the roadway, mounted the guardrail and ultimately landed on its roof.
