Worker Killed After Rocks Crush Excavator At Worcester County Quarry
A worker at a Worcester County rock quarry was killed on Thursday, Aug. 22, when a rock ledge collapsed on his excavator, authorities said. The incident happened just before 8 a.m. at a Stone Crest Way quarry in Sterling, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office said. The man's name was not released. A 28-year-old Worcester man has been identified as the person crushed to death after a truck's trailer fell on him in Westborough, authorities said. Pablo Franciso Otano Aponte died on Wednesday, Dec. 27, when a 53-foot-long box trailer fell on him as he worked on it off of Computer Drive, the Worcester County District Attorney said. CT Employee Seriously Injured After Becoming Impaled In Pasta Machine
An employee at a Connecticut food plant was seriously injured after becoming impaled on a pasta machine. The incident took place around 3:30 a.m., Monday, March 21 at Carla's Pasta, 50 Talbot Lane, in South Windsor, in Hartford County. Driver For Taconic Biosciences Killed In Crash At Loading Dock
A driver for Taconic Biosciences was killed by an errant tractor-trailer at the company's loading dock, according to New York State Police. When police were dispatched in Columbia County to Taconic Biosciences in Germantown at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, fire crews were already attempting to assist the victim at the scene.
