Duo Accused Of Stealing 1,000 Gallons Of Cooking Oil In Connecticut Two New York men are facing charges after authorities said they stole more than 1,000 gallons of cooking oil in Connecticut and then led police on a pursuit. The owner of Pizza Palace Restaurant in Middlesex County called police at about 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, to report that he had interrupted the theft of cooking oil at his restaurant, according to the Old Saybrook Police Department. Four, Including Three From Fairfield County, Killed In Wrong-Way I-95 Crash Four people were killed in a head-on crash on I-95 in Connecticut. Police said the crash happened in the New Haven County town of Guilford at about 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, May 29. A 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5 S was going the wrong way, traveling north on I-95 south between exits 60 and 59, when it collided with a southbound 2012 Chevrolet Colorado LT, according to Connecticut State Police. Both vehicles came to a stop in the left travel lane of the highway, police said. Authorities reported that all of the occupants of the vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene. Bannon, and three others, is being charged with defrauding donors in a border wall fundraising scam, according to law enforcement officials. He is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering.
