Driver Released After CT/MA Pursuit Arrested Weeks Later In Road Rage Incident: Cops A Hartford man accused of leading police on a pursuit from Massachusetts into Connecticut in March has been arrested again, this time for assaulting and threatening a 76-year-old driver during a road rage incident in East Hartford, CT State Police say. Shicorey Johnson-Harris, 26, was arrested Saturday, June 14, after a crash on the Route 2 eastbound Exit 3 off-ramp, according to Connecticut State Police. Infamous Native American Statue Along Mohawk Trail In Western Mass Removed A 20-foot-tall Native American statue and tourist attraction in Franklin County that was considered an offensive eyesore to some and a symbol of representation for others was removed on Friday, Aug. 11.  The Charlemont souvenir shop Native and Himalayan Views, formerly the Big Indian Shop, confirmed that it had removed the statue that sat along the Mohawk Trail on Route 2 for nearly 50 years.  The statue won't be down for long, however. The crash was reported on I-95 South near Exit 46A around 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, according to a Tweet from MassDOT Multi-vehicle crash in #Lexington on I-95-SB near Exit 46A. Left lane closed. — Mass. Transportation (@MassDOT) December 14, 2022 The left lane was closed as a result and the scene was cleared around 11 a.m., MassDOT Tweeted. No word yet on any injuries.

Police ID Shelburne Falls Woman, 48, Killed In Greenfield Head-On Collision A 48-year-old Shelburne Falls woman died Thursday morning, Nov. 18, after her truck hit a patch of black ice on Route 2, which sent her skidding into oncoming traffic, authorities said.  Connie Francis Rogers lost control of her Nissan Frontier around 7 a.m. near the Home Depot on Mohawk Trail in Greenfield, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said in a news release. Traffic Moving Again On Route 2 In Lancaster Morning Of, Thursday, Aug. 13 Traffic on Route 2 in Lancaster is back to normal as of 8 a.m. Traffic was nearly at standstill early Thursday, Aug. 13, morning. George W. Stanton Highway’s eastbound lane after Exit 36 (Shirley Street) was backed up all the way to the 190 on-ramps. The reason for the gridlock is not yet clear.
