He 'Brought Joy' To All: Police ID Man Killed In Double Springfield Shooting Authorities have identified the 23-year-old man who was shot and killed last week while attending a birthday party in Springfield, authorities said. The man who allegedly shot him turned himself over to police on Monday, July 3.  Elian Arroyo, of Springfield, died June 28 after he was shot near the intersection of Ashmun and Adams streets. 'Completely Avoidable' Murder: 21-Year-Old Charged With Double Shooting In Western Mass A 21-year-old man who police say cut off his court-required ankle monitor — twice — while out on bail is now charged with a double shooting at a birthday party in Springfield last week that left a man dead.  Tyre Shakespeare was arrested on Sunday, July 2, in Springfield and charged with the killing, Springfield police said.  The attack happened near Ashmun and Adams streets on Thursday afternoon.
