Instagram Adds New Feature For Sharing Private Photos: How It Works Instagram is rolling out a new feature designed to make sharing quick, casual photos easier and more private. Meta announced the launch of "Instants" in a blog post on Wednesday, May 13. The additional feature allows users to send spontaneous photos directly to Close Friends or mutual followers. Instants appear as a small stack of photos in the bottom-right corner of direct message inboxes. "No edits, no pressure, just life as it happens," Meta wrote.
