Man Pulls Gun On 2 In Western Mass, Lands Multiple Drug Charges To Boot: Police A man learned the hard way that you shouldn't pull a gun on people when you allegedly have a car filled with drugs, Western Massachusetts police said.  Donovan Mangua, 32, was arrested on Saturday, Sept. 9, after two men flagged down a Holyoke police officer to say that a man in a Black Acura with tinted windows had pointed a gun at them along Main Street near I-391, Holyoke police said.  The men said the car drove toward Racing Mart.  Police drove to the store and found an empty Black Acura with tinted windows in the parking lot. Hit, Run Driver Leaves Behind Something Important In Western Mass Crash Holyoke police are asking for the public's help to track down a driver they say was involved in a hit-and-run crash on Main Street on Monday afternoon, April 24.  Not only do they want to discuss why they left the scene of a wreck, but they also want to return their passenger side-view mirror.  Making matters worse for the driver — the car was an Alfa Romeo. The Italian-manufactured sedan is rare in the US, and only a handful of garages would be equipped to fix it.  Police ask anyone on Alfa Romeo pictured or the hit-and-run crash to contact detectives at 413-322-6900.

Suspicious Package Leads To Evacuation In Western Mass A suspicious package in Hampden County forced officials to order an evacuation late Thursday night, March 23, authorities said.  Firefighters were called to the area near Main and James streets in Holyoke when someone found the package around 11 p.m., the Holyoke Fire Department said. Residents in that area were asked to leave until police could figure out if it was dangerous.  Massachusetts State troopers were called to investigate and later determined it posed no threat. Residents were allowed to return home just after midnight, the fire department said.
