A 60-year-old Massachusetts man is the latest to be charged for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection at the US Capitol in Washington, DC, federal officials announced.
Worcester County resident Vincent Gillespie, of Athol, was arrested on Friday, Feb. 18, and charged for allegedly assaulting law enforcement officers during the riot and breach at the Capitol.

A former FBI agent said she believes it's possible that Brian Laundrie's parents could face charges, according to a new report.
NewsNation Now reported on Thursday, Nov. 25, that retired FBI agent Jennifer Coffindaffer said she thinks Laundrie's parents, Chris and Roberta, could be charged with accessory after the fact.

Brian Laundrie's parents have removed a sign and laundry baskets left on their Florida property by protesters.
Laundrie, age 23, is a person of interest in the homicide of his fiancée, 22-year-old fellow Long Island native Gabby Petito, of Blue Point in Suffolk County.
Law enforcement has been searching for him since his parents reported on Friday, Sept. 17, that they hadn't seen their son in days.
