Seven Nabbed For Illegal Dumping In Western Mass

Seven people have been cited in Hampden County after being caught on camera illegally dumping debris, trash, and tree trimmings throughout the city. Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno and Executive Director of Parks, Buildings, and Recreation Management (PBRM) Patrick Sullivan said that the citations come as part of the city’s concerted effort to curb illegal dumping. Police Search For Person Who Illegally Dumped Dead Farm Animals In Western Mass
Police are asking for the public's help in finding the person responsible for dumping over a dozen dead farm animals in Western Massachusetts. The animals were found in garbage bags on Sunday, March 21, and again on Monday, March 22 in Hampden County, on Monson Road in Brimfield. "We are looking for some assistance in trying to identify the individual that was responsible for what appeared to be a case of illegal dumping on Monson Road," said the Brimfield Police Department. Woman Suspected Of Using Firecrackers To Light A Car On Fire Is Arrested
A woman suspected of intentionally lighting a car on fire using fireworks was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 30. Lashawnda Naylor, 37, of Springfield, was arrested in the Tilton Street area of Springfield on the charges of burning a motor vehicle and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, police said. Naylor is suspected of lighting a car on fire on Aug. 20. On that day, Springfield Police and Firefighters responded to a report of a car on fire near the intersection of Wellington Street and Wilbraham Road.
