Huh? Remote Education Programs Ending, But Will Still Be An Option For Students
Even though Massachusetts plans this April to end remote and hybrid learning programs created during the pandemic, learning this way will still be an option for students. Families will have the choice to keep their children in hybrid or remote-learning programs or enter their currently in-classroom learners in a remote program. However, the programs are likely to be different than what is being offered now. On Tuesday, March 9, Massachusetts Education Commissioner Jeffrey C. 19: 'Live' Teaching and Check-In Requirements Go Into Effect For MA Schools
A new set of rules that requires "live" teaching time and daily check-ins in hybrid and remote learning Massachusetts school districts went into effect Tuesday, Jan. 19. The rules establish a minimum level for live and synchronous instruction. Any district that does not comply with the new regulations will be required to make up learning time missed due to non-compliance by the end of t…

According to NPR, a third study in the United States also found that there is no elevated risk of contracting COVID-19 for childcare workers who returned to the classroom. The report found that t…

19: See How Your Town Is Planning To Reopen Schools
With the Friday, Aug. 14, deadline to submit final school reopening plans looming large over many Massachusetts School Committees, a dozen or so districts in Western Massachusetts and Worcester County have figured it out. Faced with COVID-19 challenges, school districts are, mostly, choosing among three plans: remote education, in-class education, or a hybrid of in-class and remote learning. Districts also need to consider when the first day of school will be; Massachusetts is allowing schools to choose when to start - with Sept. 16 being the latest date possible. Typically, Massachusetts…
