Troopers Unable To Save Man From Drowning In Burning Car In Plainville Crash: Police Despite the best efforts of state troopers, a 23-year-old man died early Tuesday morning, Oct. 10, when his car crashed into a median on I-495 in Norfolk County, authorities said.  Sage A. Car Slams Into Tractor-Trailer On I-84 In Vernon, Driver Gets Out With Help From Samaritans A person was injured after their vehicle crashed into a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 in Vernon.  The crash happened on Tuesday, Feb. 14 around 5 p.m. on I-84 eastbound just after the Exit 66 on-ramp, according to the Vernon Fire Department.  Upon arriving, first responders found the car heavily damaged and discovered that the driver had been able to escape from the wreckage with the help of good samaritans who had stopped to help.
