Dutchess County resident Robert Riley-Brown, of Wappingers Falls, died at New York Presbyterian Milstein Heart Center on Saturday, Aug. 20, according to his obituary. One That Got Away: Man Fishing From Cape Cod Beach Hooks Great White Shark A Massachusetts angler was in for a major surprise when he hooked a great white shark while fishing in Cape Cod. Matt Pieciak posted a video of the moment on his Instagram page, writing: "A Great White Shark steals the fish off our line at Nauset Beach, Cape Cod." NBC Boston reported that the 25-year-old was fishing with friends on Sunday, Aug. 8, when he saw the rod start to bend. He said his cousin captured video as Pieciak tried to reel in the shark. Both ponds had been closed to visitors due to high levels of bacteria in the water. Dean Park Pond, off Main Street, had been closed for weeks before town officials reopened it on Thursday, Aug. 13. Fishing can now resume on the pond, but swimming or wading ist still not allowed Rotary Park Pond, off Old Mill Pond Road, was closed on Thursday, Aug. 13 as laboratory testing showed high levels of E. Coli in the water. The water samples were taken from Mill Pond.

Dean Park Pond was closed to the public by health officials July 10 after the discovery of high levels of E. Coli. The Main Street pond was tested again on July 16 and a high level of the bacteria was found again. Levels are not at a level safe for fishing.
