Accused Holyoke Killer Who Fled To Puerto Rico Won't Be Running Anywhere Anytime Soon: DA A 22-year-old Holyoke man accused of a fatal shooting in the summer before fleeing to Puerto Rico is back in Massachusetts and was denied bail at his arraignment Thursday, Oct. 12, authorities said.  Aleq Rodriguez is charged with murder in the killing of Edgar Soto-Irizarry on June 22, the Hampden County District Attorney's Office said. Man Accused Of Western Mass Murder Captured In Puerto Rico: DA A 22-year-old man accused of a fatal shooting in Hampden County before escaping to Puerto Rico will be brought back to face justice three months later, authorities said.  Aleq Rodrigues, of Holyoke, is charged with murder in the killing of 30-year-old Edgar Soto-Irizarry on June 22, the Hampden County District Attorney said.   Soto-Irizarry was found in an apartment building in the 300 block of Appleton Street just before 9:30 a.m. after receiving a 911 call after someone heard a gunshot, police said. Police ID Holyoke Man Found Shot To Death Last Week; Police Looking For Shooter Authorities in Hampden County released the identity of a man who was shot and killed in Holyoke on Friday, June 23.  Edgar Soto-Irizarry, 30, of Holyoke, was found bleeding from a bullet wound around 9:20 a.m. on Appleton Street, the Hampton County District Attorney said. Police arrived after receiving a 911 call.  Paramedics attempted to save Soto-Irizarry's life, but he died at the scene.  Police are still searching for the gunman.
