A 28-year-old Hampden County man with an extensive criminal history and was out on bail for two gun-related charges has been accused of gunning down a Springfield man, police said. Ethan Fitzgerald, of Ludlow, is charged with murder, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and discharging a gun within 500 Feet of a building, Springfield police said. Police Investigating Shooting In Springfield; Victim Expected To Survive
Police in Hampden County are investigating a late-night shooting Wednesday, June 14, that sent a man to the hospital. Springfield police responded to the shooting around 11:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Dwight Street, where they found a man with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. A man has died following a pedestrian-involved crash in one Western Massachusetts city, authorities said. The crash happened in the area of Dwight and Congress streets in Springfield around 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14, according to Springfield Police Spokesperson Ryan Walsh on Twitter. Two Injured During Western Mass Crash Between Car, Truck
Two people were injured and taken to an area hospital following a crash in Western Massachusetts. The crash took place in Hampden County around 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, when a car and a truck collided at the intersection of Dwight Street in Springfield, according to the Springfield Fire Department. Fire officials said two people, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries had to be extricated from their vehicles.
