Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled For Massachusetts
There will be a special sobriety checkpoint set up in Massachusetts over the weekend by State Police to curtail impaired driving and educate the public about the dangers of it. Col. Christopher Mason, the Superintendent of Massachusetts State Police, announced there will be a checkpoint put in place on Saturday, April 24 into Sunday, April 25 in Worcester County. Sobriety Checkpoint Scheduled For Massachusetts
State Police have announced they will hold sobriety checkpoints in central Massachusetts in an effort to remove drunk or impaired drivers from the roadway. The checkpoint, sponsored by the state's Highway Safety Division, will be held in Worcester County on Friday, April 16, and Saturday, April 17, throughout the county, said the Massachusetts State Police. Police in a small Central Massachusetts town cracked down on drunk or drugged driving on New Year’s making 3 OUI arrests between Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. In a town of 11,000 people, Dudley Police responded to three reports of “erratic operation” on New Year’s Eve/Day.
