Police are pushing back against rumors swirling online that a serial killer is behind the death of a 60-year-old New Haven woman whose body was found last month. Heuermann, 60, of Massapequa Park, was indicted for second-degree murder in the killing of Valerie Mack in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday morning, Dec. 17.
