Man Stabbed At Chicopee Gas Station Dies At Hospital: Police A man stabbed at a Chicopee gas station Sunday afternoon, Aug. 6, has died, Chicopee police said.  The attack happened at the Shell station at 95 West St. around 3 p.m., police said. Paramedics rushed the man to a nearby hospital, where he died of his wounds. Investigators did not release the man's name.  Chicopee police detectives closed the gas station for several hours Sunday night while they investigated the scene.  Detectives ask anyone with information to contact police at 413-592-6341.

2 Shot In Chicopee; Police Searching For Shooter Police in Hampden County are investigating a shooting early Friday morning, June 30, that sent two people to the hospital in Chicopee, authorities said.  Chicopee police received a 911 call around 1:30 a.m. about a double shooting near the intersection of Grattan and Meadow streets, officials said. Bicyclist Killed After Hit By Car In Western Massachusetts City: Police A bicyclist has died after they were hit by a car in Chicopee this week, authorities said.  Police responded to the crash on Meadow Street just before 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 8, Chicopee Police said on Facebook.  Upon arrival, officers found the male bicyclist with serious injuries laying on the ground. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, police said.  The incident shut down Meadow Street as a result. The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said. The crash is under investigation.

At approximately 10:05 Sunday, July 3, a call came in reporting the possible body in the river in Chicopee, authorities said.  The Chicopee Police Underwater Recovery Team as well as the Holyoke Fire Department are on the scene.  Both motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid the area of Catherine Street and Sheppard Street "as this is an active operation," Chicopee Police said.
