CT Woman Seriously Injured After Being Pinned Between Landscaping Truck, Trailer, Police Say An employee of a lawn service company was hospitalized with serious injuries after a crash caused her to be pinned between a trailer and truck in Connecticut.  The crash happened on Baldwin Hill Road in Litchfield at about 10:10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, according to Connecticut State Police. CT Man Hit By Car After Stepping In Roadway A Connecticut man was struck by a car after stepping into a roadway outside of a crosswalk. The crash took place in Hartford County in East Granby around 7:17 a.m. According to the Connecticut State Police, David Addis, age 56, of Norwich, in New London County, was hit by a Honda Civic driven by Tiffany Wilkinson, age 23, of East Granby. The crash occurred when Addis entered Route 20 near the Enterprise Truck Rental outside of a designated crosswalk area, state police said. Central Mass Police Cruiser Totaled By Drunk Driver Who Blew Stop Sign While a Sutton Police officer was unscathed from a recent accident, the same cannot be said about his cruiser.  Sergeant Joe Fortunato was heading towards main Street on Putnam Hill Road when his cruiser was hit by a car that did not stop at a stop sign on Sunday, Sutton Police said on Facebook.  The crash caused significant damage to Sgt. Fortunato's vehicle but thankfully, he was uninjured. To make matters worse for the driver, authorities learned 85-year-old Nina Quirk, of Berlin, was driving while under the influence of alcohol.
